The architectural composition of the restaurant is defined by three primary elements, each contributing a distinct spatial and structural experience. The first element is the bar pavilion, conceived as a transparent glass cube. This highly refined structure is composed entirely of 1 1/8-inch-thick glass panels, seamlessly integrated through an innovative steel ring-beam and roof system. The steel framework serves both structural and aesthetic functions, creating the appearance of a virtually frameless enclosure while providing the necessary support for the glass assembly. The second element is a steel grid structure that spans the main entry corridor. This system supports a large glass skylight and a series of custom-designed suspended light fixtures, creating a dramatic and naturally illuminated arrival sequence. The third and principal element is the main building, which houses the restaurant, sushi bar, kitchen, and upper-level patio lounge. Constructed as a post-tensioned concrete structure, the building is distinguished by its sloping front walls and sculptural architectural expression. The concrete envelope is punctuated with strategically placed clear acrylic cylinders that introduce natural light into the interior while providing visual and atmospheric relief. Along the bay-facing elevation, the building opens generously to the waterfront, maximizing views and creating a seamless connection between indoor dining spaces and the surrounding landscape. A well-lit stairway leads to a mezzanine level containing administrative offices, while the upper floor accommodates the patio bar lounge. This open-air venue features a dedicated service bar, curated champagne and wine selections, and panoramic views of the bay. At its center, a gas fire feature creates a focal gathering space, surrounded by comfortable lounge seating. Throughout the project, a sophisticated palette of materials reinforces the restaurant's contemporary character. Flooring consists of Verona marble and travertine, while walls are finished in hand-polished plaster. Warmth and texture are introduced through the use of exotic white oak and bamboo millwork. Custom-designed textiles, including woven fabrics and flowing pure silk draperies, contribute richness and refinement to the interior environment. The bar pavilion features a custom-designed granite-topped bar complemented by suspended fabric acoustic baffles that reduce ambient noise while maintaining visual openness. At the patio bar, the flooring is finished in a custom terrazzo system that is ground and polished to achieve a seamless, highly durable surface. Together, these architectural elements create a dynamic waterfront destination that balances structural innovation, material sophistication, and an exceptional dining experience.
